This 12-day East Coast adventure takes you through Madagascar’s lush rainforests, exotic wildlife, and breathtaking coastlines.

From Antananarivo, you will journey to Andasibe to meet the famous Indri-Indri lemurs, continue along the Pangalanes Canal, explore traditional villages, and finally relax on the pristine beaches of Sainte Marie Island, a paradise known for its pirate history and whale watching (in season). This circuit is perfect for nature lovers, culture explorers, and those seeking both adventure and relaxation in Madagascar’s tropical landscapes.

Arriver

Day 1 : Arrival in Antananarivo

 

Arrival at Ivato International Airport, followed by transfer to your hotel to rest. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner and briefing about the tour.

Day 2 : Antananarivo and Andasibe

 

Drive to Andasibe, which takes approximately 3-4 hours. Upon arrival, visit Analamazaotra Reserve to spot the famous Indri-Indri lemurs. In the evening, take a nocturnal walk to discover other wildlife.

Day 3 : Andasibe National Park

 

Spend a full day exploring Andasibe National Park. Trek through rainforest trails with a guide, spotting lemurs, chameleons, and endemic birds. Later, visit Vakona Reserve and Lemur Island.

Day 4 : Andasibe and Tamatave (Toamasina)

 

Drive to Tamatave, the main port city on the east coast. Explore the city market and enjoy the coastal atmosphere. Overnight stay in Tamatave.

FOULPOINTE

Day 5 : Tamatave and Foulpointe

 

Take a short drive to Foulpointe. Relax on the beach and explore the local fishing villages. Optional activities include snorkeling and other water sports.

Day 6 : Foulpointe and Mahambo

 

Continue south along the east coast to Mahambo, enjoying its beautiful beaches and local culture. Overnight stay in Mahambo.

Day 7 : Mahambo and Pangalanes Canal

 

Travel along the Pangalanes Canal, visiting traditional Malagasy villages to learn about local life. Overnight stay in a lodge along the canal.

Day 8 : Pangalanes Canal and Mananara Nord

 

Journey to Mananara Nord, known for its biosphere reserve. Enjoy a guided tour to see rare flora and fauna. Overnight stay in Mananara Nord.

Sainte-Marie-Island

Day 9 : Mananara Nord and Sainte Marie Island

 

Travel to Sainte Marie Island. Spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach and explore the island’s pirate history and charming villages.

Day 10: Sainte Marie Island

 

Enjoy a free day for leisure activities such as snorkeling, diving, or whale watching (seasonal). Optional island tour includes visiting the old pirate cemetery.

Sainte Marie

Day 11: Sainte Marie Island and Antananarivo

 

Fly back to Antananarivo. The evening is free for shopping or a city tour, followed by a farewell dinner.

Departure

Day 12: Departure

 

End of the Journey After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight. You
leave with unforgettable memories of Madagascar’s northern treasures.
